Straight answers
Are you locally owned?+
Yes. David Ryan and Jenin own and operate Paw Control and Club Canine by Paw Control with their family and local team. Not a chain.
When did Paw Control buy Club Canine?+
August 28, 2026. The ranch became Club Canine by Paw Control. Julie’s old families are still family.
Is someone here overnight?+
Yes. Scheduled staff stay on site 24/7. Pets are never left on a camera.
Why are public hours limited if staff are here all night?+
Drop-off, pick-up, and tours run 7–11 AM and 5–7 PM so feeding, cleaning, and rest aren’t interrupted. Staff stay with the pets outside those windows.
How often do boarding dogs go out?+
At least six let-outs a day, generally around 15 minutes each, adjusted for weather, age, and the dog.
Do dogs share yards?+
Boarding is not automatic group play. Each suite has its own outdoor run. Group daycare needs a behavioral evaluation first — and daycare is still coming online.
Can dogs from the same house share a suite?+
Usually, if they live together, you ask, and a suite fits. We’ll split them if comfort or safety says so. Extra pet in the same suite is $35 a night.
Do you board cats and other small pets?+
Cats, yes — $25 a night. Rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, and similar: call the ranch with species, enclosure, and dates so we can say honestly whether we can do it safely.
Can my dog be groomed while boarding?+
Yes, if a groomer has a slot. Ask at drop-off or text 469-886-3850. Don’t add salon services in the online boarding booker.
Do you still do mobile grooming?+
Yes. The vans still run the Denton County route from Oak Point. Text a photo to 469-886-3850 and say mobile or salon.
Can I book grooming online?+
Not yet. Boarding books online now. For salon or mobile, text a current picture, weight, area, and what you want to 469-886-3850. We’ll quote and pick a day.
Do you work with senior or anxious pets?+
That’s a lot of what we do. Large dogs, seniors, tough nail trims, cats, pets who’ve been told they need sedation. Safety before finishing the service.
Is daycare or training open?+
Not for booking yet. Daycare evaluations and training are the next build-out. Call 940-383-2766 for the current status — we won’t list it as open until it is.
Can we tour?+
Yes. Call 940-383-2766 and we’ll set it in a 7–11 AM or 5–7 PM window.
